In my opinion I think its how the human beings are wired for survival, the sad part is in the prehistoric time we stole for need like food now we steal for greed (which is largely mistaken for a need). We always had unrest in the human world, man steals from man, kings steal form kings, countries steal from countries , the recent 70 years or so is perhaps the most peaceful time in human history or some might say we are having the biggest economical war all around, everyone wants a piece of your money . Oh well! I hope we evolve into more compassionate beings, and fast!

We can also learn some from our Masters to be a Master class. Honesty is one of the thing Masters should own. To come out from our slave class, you work hard and be a Master of your own. Some even ready to steal Rs.500 for our votes. Until this mentality is change, we always need some masters. I heard most houses in Britain is not even locked.

About 5 years ago we moved from abroad to Mysore, first thing i told my wife to keep all the stuff inside home include expensive slippers and bicycles. But she replied one thing to me , “No one will steal in Mysore”, so far everything is in our garden, but not once stolen. I am proud to be settled in Master class people in Royal city of Mysore.

India needs Masters.

Person of my vintage will remember that Indian cricket team which won a match at Oval in 1960s in London stole expensive socks in a London superstore ,that was hushed up quickly. Presumably, fines were paid on the spot. In another incidence, the wife of an official from an AIR station who was on a training visit to BBC London, was jailed for a few days for stealing in a superstore. It is the greedy itching of possessing something without buying it-particularly if it is a consumer good is the underlying problem. Visiting Indians in the West have roving fingers in all their facets!!
