When Gauri Lankesh was murdered, people used their power of pen, power of free speech to even link Modi to this murder, without an iota of evidence and abused the PM as though it was some kind of a name calling competition! Every channel was screaming about freedom of press! Last week, we saw Arnab dragged from his home in the early morning to jail without a warrant, other republic news personnel with their face covered in black cloth on TRP scam, the kind of treatment we did not see for the people who tried to blow up our parliament! All the other media channels were either silent or justifying the Maharashtra police action, Even HC did not date to stand for the truth and played along with the State government! All these people were silent when a Navy veteran was beaten to pulp in public because he shared a cartoon on whatsapp and the SS goons were given bail in 2 hours while the same HC did not want to give Arnab any bail. On the same day HC gave bail in 15 mins to a person who was arrested with illicit drugs!
Also, if people felt that Calling Uddav Thackeray as Uddav was offensive, then, how does one justify calling Modi as Maut Ka Saudagar, Chor Modi, Gandhi Nali ki Keeda and another 100 abuses?
I am sure, if SC had not stepped, he would would have gone to gallows and all the so called human rights organizations who fight for the right of Kasab would be keeping silent because it serves their purpose! They were preparing to waterboard him soon but he escaped narrowly
