Run Mysuru-Talguppa train on the old route

February 10, 2024

Sir,

For the past 20 years, the Mysuru-Talguppa train has been running directly from Mysuru to Talaguppa in Shivamogga district, bypassing Bengaluru. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the same train is now scheduled to travel from Mysuru to Shivamogga via Bengaluru, adding three hours to the journey time for passengers. This change has caused significant inconvenience, particularly to senior citizens.

Therefore, we urge you to address this issue and restore the train to its previous route, bypassing Bengaluru as it did before COVID-19. Additionally, we request that additional coaches be allocated to the train, as the current coaches is inadequate to accommodate regular commuters on this route.
