Firecrackers mishap during Deepavali: 30-bed Ward ready at K.R. Hospital to attend eye and burn injuries

Mysore/Mysuru: A Ward with 30-beds is ready to attend any cases of eye and burn injuries due to bursting of crackers during Deepavali festival, according to Dean and Director of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) Dr. K.R. Dakshayani. “Patients should be rushed to the casualty ward, which is near the entrance of K.R. Hospital and the doctors there will refer to this special ward,” she said and added that the ward is monitored by Superintendent of K.R. Hospital Dr. H.P. Shobha, Head, Department of Ophthalmology Dr. Sathish and HoD of Plastic Surgery Dr. Mohan G. Kakola and other medical officers. No cases were reported till 7 pm on Sunday.
